Groups

Groups = Schools / Scouts / Cadets / Functions.

Sporting activity: One feature of this Club, which is unusual, is that targets, equipment, personel and infrastructure are available which make it possible to offer shooting as an activity to a group of students. One would expect the army or navy to be able to cater for a group of shooters, but rifle clubs in general can only safely accomodate a few beginners each week. On the other hand NSSB&RC is hosting one or two school/ scout / cadet groups each week, providing an avenue for these organisations to offer this sporting activity to their students.

Schools: Come to the Clubhouse and look over the trophy plaques and pictures on the walls. We appreciate their support and are able to offer this clubhouse and range to your organisation as a sporting venue. The major constraint is finding a mutually suitable time slot. Max group sizes of 20 are recommended as 1 on 1 supervision from licenced shooters is required. .

Scouts. There are also a number of scouting insignia on the walls. Scout groups use this facility on a set “scout night” which is Thursday 6:30pm to 9.30pm. Bookings can be made either by email or phone.

Cadets: The range also provides an opportunity for Cadet groups to practice on the range during the weekend.

Functions: The Clubhouse itself makes an attractive venue for functions. It is modern, neat, and has a large kitchen area at one end. The carpeted area leads through three large double doors onto a flat concrete verandah. This in turn leads to a 50 metre secure fenced flat grassed lawn. Some functions have included shooting as part of there schedule, but meetings, presentations and get togethers work well in the quiet tranquil bushland surrounds of the rifle range.
