Event Description
Note: Due to the effect of COVID-19, this prize shoot will be following all rules and guidelines set by NSW dept of sport and NSW Health. In addition, all athletes will need to be registered and paid before the 8th August. Details on this process are outlined below.
Pre-Scheduled time booking and squadding: Due to limited lane space(social distancing) and limited time. We’ll be pre-drawing all shoot time allocations and squads once payment fees have been received. All squad times/allocations will be luck of the draw. Shooters will notified of their strict start time allocation/squad on the 12th August. Failure to meet your allocated time, will forfeit your event entry.
Competition starts 09:00 am Saturday and 09:00 am Sunday. Sessions will run all day and maybe into the night (under lights) dependent on the amount of squads.

- 60-shot match on electronic targets
- ISSF rules
- 15 minutes preparation/sighting time and 50 minute shoot time
- Cash Prizes will be given for each grade. The overall winner for each event will have their name added to the David Hollister memorial trophy.

Tyro Prize: for best Tyro score
Competitors: must be registered members of NSWSARAI or similar and produce a current Cat. A Firearms Licence (Target Shooting) and an Association/club membership Grading Card at present these at entry.
Refreshments: Unfortunately the Canteen/BBQ won’t be available due to COVID protocols.
Gradings: The NSWSARAI grading system will be used for both events:
- Benchrest
- A Grade 198.5 and above (above 595.5 ex 600)
- B Grade 196 and below 198.5 (above 582 ex 600)
- C Grade less than 196 (below 582 ex 600)
- Prone
- A Grade: Above 194 (582 and above ex 600)
- B Grade: Above 190 and less than 194 (Above 570 ex 600)
- C Grade: Above 184 and less than 190 (above 552 ex 600)
- D Grade: Less than 184
- Range Safety rules include:
- Rifles to be on the shoulder and pointed at the target before closing bolt
- All rifles must be singularly loaded (ie: magazines / clips cannot be used)
- Firearms are to be under your direct control when not in use
- All Rifles must have a breech flag inserted when not in use
